Excalibur designed and prototyped the very first pre-boot fingerprint authentication system for laptops with integrated fingerprint sensors.  This lead to a series of BIOS based preboot development projects for encryption, user authentication, solid state memory, and USB applications.

Excalibur has developed prototype biometric solutions for PDA type devices long before the iPhone was conceived.  Excalibur also developed one of the first video conferencing solutions for portable phones that also worked over regular analog phone lines when the maximum speed was only 33K bps.  Today Excalibur is focusing on Android and iPhone applications.
